Looking for a supplement to cut weight

I am looking to get back in training and am looking for a supplement that will raise my metabolism and help me cut. I used to use ephedra-based products like Thermadrene, Metadrene, and Xenadrene, but now that the gov't has banned ephedra, I have heard that those products are crap.
Does anyone know of a good cutting supplement for a distance runner looking to get back in training after a long layoff?

Bigbet, I partake in good exercise daily. If I quit drinking the beer I would be at 200 minus in a short period of time. I know what you mean. I like a few Busch here and there. Hard to get the discipline to get the job done.

a pack of sweet and low is not going to hurt
blend and drink. Just like a vanilla shake.
A couple a day is fine also

I have cut out the beer consumption and will be doing regular weightlifting to complement my cardio.
Many of the older supplements did a fantastic job, but I am skeptical of any non-ephedra based products.
I'm not talking about losing 200 pounds here, I am in pretty good walkind around shape. I just want to get back to competitive form and need something that is similar to something I can tell you has worked for me in the past.

lost a crap load of weight maybe 40 pounds

then gained about 3/4 back because I got lazy

now I think diet fuel has been banned also

it is not the same as the one that was banned, it has a different matrix than the ingredients from the one that was banned.
